    • New Ovid Term Finder Release and Update: TermFinder now available on Ovid EMBASE

    As we continue to improve the Ovid platform, we are pleased to announce the release of Emtree Term Finder for Embase. In parallel there will be an update to the existing APA Thesaurus Term Finder fixing an issue with the search function. Ovid MEDLINE continues to feature MeSH Term Finder.

    Term Finder helps users access key information as they construct their search without having to leave the Advanced Search page.

    Find & Replace

  • Find & Replace - You can search for a string within all your Saved Searches and AutoAlerts and replace it everywhere at once. This can be a whole search line, a word or even a field label such as .ti. This saves a lot of time, for example, if a field changes its label in a database reload, or a drug is renamed.

  • Bulk Edit - You can edit the settings for all your AutoAlerts at once. This can be very useful, for example, if you need to send AutoAlerts to a new email address, or if you need to change the frequency of your AutoAlerts from quarterly to monthly or weekly.

  • Audit History – You can view all the events for an AutoAlert, e.g. every time it ran or was edited or suspended. You can also see the details for each event, such as how many results were included in the AutoAlert, or who edited or suspended it.

    Export Enhancements

    We are pleased to announce an update to Ovid’s Export functionality which will make it easier for users to take search results and citations into the next phase of their literature review workflow.

    Ovid users can now personalize their export settings and save them to their Personal Account as a reusable template. Users may select between Microsoft Word (.doc) or PDF as the output format and specify the citation style for the bibliographic metadata (e.g. MLA, APA). It's easy to select which fields to include in the export and specify the order of field display. These export customizations can also be saved for future use.
