Support for COUNTER 4 reporting to be discontinued. Please update your reports to COUNTER 5

Dear Ovid Customer:

Ovid currently maintains two usage report sites for our customers. In 2022, we will retire our legacy COUNTER 4 usage reporting tool (https://ovidspstats.ovid.com). Ovid will continue to support the latest COUNTER 5 reports, which you can find at https://stats.ovid.com and is the new home for all COUNTER and detailed usage reports.

COUNTER codes of practice require content providers to produce consistent, comparable and credible usage data to librarians and other administrators. The guidelines in COUNTER 5 include streamlined reporting, better accounting of e-book usage, and a more flexible approach to data that provides a more accurate usage landscape in fewer reports.

You can use the same user credentials you had on https://ovidspstats.ovid.com when accessing https://stats.ovid.com. If you have questions about what is in COUNTER 5 and how it compares to COUNTER 4, you can visit the COUNTER site at: https://www.projectcounter.org/friendly-guides-release-5/ or contact Ovid Customer Support and we’d be happy to assist.

We are unable to transfer existing scheduled reports from the COUNTER 4 to COUNTER 5 site. If you have an existing scheduled report in COUNTER 4, please re-schedule it in COUNTER 5 (https://stats.ovid.com) by February 2022. This also applies to any Sushi report you may have running on ovidspstats.ovid.com, please refer to the Options > Sushi Setup section on the new site for the Sushi API detail.

Customer Support is available if you have any questions at [email protected] and we are eager to provide additional training and assistance as needed.

Regards,

Wolters Kluwer – Ovid
