We're thrilled to announce a new feature to use with your Ovid Emcare subscription. Starting May 22, 2025, you will see a new green button next to the Search button in Advanced Search called Term Finder.
Term Finder is a tool that helps you to easily search the database’s controlled vocabulary while building a search in the Ovid Advanced Search command line. It also contains definitions from Stedman’s Medical Dictionary and can search the permuted index and UMLS. In the mapped results for the database’s controlled vocabulary, it shows the tree, used for terms and scope notes.
