The all-new 5MinuteConsult is here!

Dear 5MinuteConsult Customer,

We’re pleased to announce the release of the all-new updated and enhanced 5MinuteConsult on Lippincott Clinical Context! This release includes several exciting changes designed to provide an improved user experience and updated, more comprehensive content coverage. Please refer to this FAQ page for important details to ensure a seamless platform migration and for more information about this change, including:

  • Supported access methods
  • An email template for notifying your patrons
  • How to get usage reporting moving forward

Here’s what you and your patrons can expect with the new platform and content:

  • A completely new platform with a modernized look and feel
  • Updated patient education, topics, and algorithms, including updated pediatric topics
  • A new organization so that it’s easier to find the answers you need to clinical questions
  • Single Sign-On access for customers with federated access, enabling personalized features, such as video favoriting without having to create a profile
  • Seamless access between 5MinuteConsult, Bates’ Visual Guide to Physical Examination, Grant’s Dissection Videos, and Lippincott Medical Procedures for customers who subscribe to multiple applications

To access the new 5MinuteConsult, simply navigate to https://clinicalcontext.lww.com. Refer to this Lippincott Clinical Context Login Guide for detailed instructions for logging in depending on your access method.

We know that switching to a new platform takes time; rest assured that you will continue to have access to the current version of 5MinuteConsult through the end of Q2 2025; however, note that the site on its old platform won't include the updated pediatrics topics or updated patient education handouts.

If your patrons use 5MinuteConsult to earn AMA Category I CME, they must redeem all earned credits before June 30th, 2025. Credits earned on the current site, https://5MinuteConsult.com, won't transfer to the application on https://clinicalcontext.lww.com.

We encourage you to make the switch as soon as possible to access the most current diagnostic and treatment guidance and to redeem earned CME credits. All users must switch to the new site by June, 2025, after which the current site, including CME credits, will no longer be accessible.

If you have any questions, your local Ovid representative will be glad to help. Feel free to reach out to your account representative or contact the support team at [email protected].

Regards,

Wolters Kluwer - Ovid
