Updated MeSH in Ovid MEDLINE Citations

NLM announces annual Year-End Processing and MeSH 2025

Dear Ovid MEDLINE Customer,

The NLM expects to temporarily suspend the addition of fully indexed MEDLINE citations to PubMed on December 9, 2024. NLM will continue to add publisher-supplied and in-process citations.

MEDLINE citations with updated MeSH are anticipated to be in PubMed by mid-December. You can find more information on the 2025 edition in the NLM's technical bulletin posted here: https://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/nd24/nd24_annual_mesh_processing.html

Ovid will continue to load all NLM updates using MeSH 2024 until we reload Ovid MEDLINE with MeSH 2025. We will announce the Ovid reload date once we receive the 2025 edition data from the NLM later in December. Alerts and saved searches won't be affected throughout the NLM’s year-end PubMed/MEDLINE processing.
