Dear Ovid PsycArticles Customer,
We're excited to announce we are replacing the current version of APA PsycArticles on Ovid with a new Full Text Database version for APA PsycArticles.
On Wednesday 30 July 2025 you'll see a new entry in your Ovid resource list, APA PsycArticles Full Text Database, that offers enhanced bibliographic metadata & search functionality. Key differentiators compared to the current PsycArticles implementation are:
If you currently have the database display subset of Journals@Ovid available labeled “APA PsycArticles Full Text” (paovft), please note this item will be hidden from your resource list on Monday 1 September 2025. The PsycArticles Full Text records will remain available directly through (Your)Journals@Ovid.
Please note that existing jumpstarts and AutoAlerts will not be affected, but we do recommend to change any direct jumpstarts to the “paovft” database with the new jumpstart using shortcode “psar”. The new jumpstart effective on 30 July will be: https://ovidsp.ovid.com/ovidweb.cgi?T=JS&NEWS=n&CSC=y&PAGE=main&D=psar
In order to distinguish the new database and to allow for some time to familiarize and make adjustments to jumpstarts and documentation you may have in place, we labeled the new database “Beta”, i.e. APA PsycArticles Full Text Database (Beta) 1894 to July 2025 Week 04. We plan to remove the Beta label on 1 September 2025 when the current version of PsycArticles will be hidden from your resource list.
If you have any questions, your local Ovid representative will be glad to help. Feel free to reach out to your account representative or contact the team at [email protected].
Regards,
