Literature Search
Evidence shows many clinical questions go unanswered because clinicians simply don’t have the time to track down and assimilate the research. The clinical librarian service is an expert, professional support service whereby staff can make requests for the library team to carry out evidence (literature) searching on your behalf to answer a clinical query or question. High quality evidence-based research is used to provide support with clinical decision-making and clinical practice.
If you would like library staff to carry out a literature search for you please fill in the form below in as much detail as possible.
Please note that this service is available for Gateshead Health NHS staff only. Literature searches cannot be carried out for students where they form part of assessed work. Library staff are happy to provide information and advice for students on how to carry out an effective literature search.
