More about your library
As part of the Trust’s Learning and Development Agreement with Health Education England, the Library and Knowledge Service completes an annual self-assessment against national standards for NHS Libraries. This is known as LQAF – Library Quality Assurance Framework. Libraries score against a range of criteria and receive a compliance percentage rating alongside a RAG (red, amber, green) rating.
In 2018 Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust Library and Knowledge Services maintained a compliance of 97%, a significant result which reflects the range and quality of services provided.
