Upcoming Ovid platform release

Dear Ovid Customer:

We are pleased to announce that there will be an Ovid platform release on Monday, October 23rd at approximately 3pm ET. View your local time. You should not experience any downtime. Please log into Ovid after that time to see the updates.

Updates included in this release

• AutoAlerts
Refinements have been made to the status logging of our AutoAlerts to assist our teams in troubleshooting. Additionally, we have updated the method by which Alerts are processed. These enhancements should improve the overall time it takes for us to process the daily AutoAlerts, which can run to almost 100,000 each night.

• Deduplication Process
To improve the accuracy of our deduplication process, it now includes running a check for the DOI of an item; if available, it will be pulled into the algorithm. If the DOI is not available, it reverts to the existing method.

• Export Window
In addition to updating and refreshing the look of the Export window, we have added a field to display the total number of records in the export:

• WebHelp
WebHelp is now also available in Italian:

• Saved Searches
The order in which Saved Searches are displayed has been modified so that regardless of the case of the first letter, your searches will be displayed alphabetically.

• Continuing Education Courses
You will see an “Earn CE Credit” link to Continuing Education courses when viewing an article that has related courses (available in November).
