Ovid Platform Release Scheduled

Dear Ovid Customer:

We are pleased to announce that there will be an Ovid platform release on Monday, July 9th at approximately 12 p.m. MT (click to view your local time).

Updates included in this release:

•   Personal Account registration
We have improved the look of the Personal Account registration page in order to make registration easier. We have also made changes to the Modify Account and Forgot Password pages.

•   Accessibility
The main areas of Ovid now comply with WCAG 2.0 Compliance Level AA and in the United States meet ‘508 Compliance’.

Additional changes include:
•   Online help files and translations updated to support screen changes
•   Updated server logging to assist in future troubleshooting
•   Maintenance to improve search strategies
•   Updated file compression method to speed up PDF downloads

At Ovid we are constantly striving to provide you and your users with the best experience possible. This includes protecting your security and privacy concerns. To this end, we will no longer support Internet Explorer versions 8, 9, and 10 after December 31, 2018. These browsers are no longer supported or updated by Microsoft and are vulnerable to malicious software.
This does not mean Ovid will cease to function with these browsers. However, by the end of this year we will no longer be testing Ovid with these browsers or fixing issues that may be specific to these browsers.
We understand that certain policies prevent users from updating browsers. We hope that by giving you this information now, you will have time to prepare.
