JBJS Supplemental Digital Content on Ovid – January 2017

JBJS Supplemental Digital Content on Ovid

Dear JBJS Customer:

In the past, Ovid users were granted dual access to Ovid and HighWire and were therefore able to access supplemental digital content (SDC) on the HighWire platform. Wolters Kluwer is currently transitioning the content to its proprietary electronic journals platform (eJP) away from HighWire.
The transition is scheduled to be complete by late Q2 2017 for The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery and end of Q3 2017 for the other three journals JBJS Reviews, JBJS Case Connector and JBJS Essential Surgical Techniques.

We would like to inform you on how to access SDC now and after the transition is complete:

  1. As of now, our Customer Support team will provide you with any of the SDC on request. Please contact our Customer Support team (support@ovid.com) for assistance. During the transition, you will not be able to access this directly on the journal site.
  2. SDC published after this transition will be accessible by clicking a link within the full text article on Ovid. With one click, the content will display in a new window.
  3. Archival SDC published before the transition will be available by clicking a link in the full text article, which will direct you to the journal website. Once there, simply search for the article which will link to the SDC. No authentication is needed on eJP.

Feel free to contact Customer Support with any questions by sending an email to support@ovid.com.

Regards,

Wolters Kluwer – Ovid
